Massachusetts Avenue

The Vision Zero Task Force is exploring potential improvements to Massachusetts Avenue to slow drivers and improve safety for people who are walking, biking, and driving along the corridor. The project extends along Mass Ave from the Charles River to Melnea Cass Blvd. Currently, we have a proposed plan for the area between the Charles River and Harrison Ave.

St. Cecilia Parish, 18 Belvidere Street

The City of Boston has developed a plan to improve safety for people who are walking, biking, and driving on Massachusetts Avenue from Beacon Street to Harrison Avenue. On June 15th the Boston Transportation Department and Toole Design Group presented crash data, safety concerns that were collected via our safety concerns map and other community outreach, and design solutions to address those concerns. Attendees shared their comments and had an opportunity to markup the detailed plans.
